Almost a year ago, on the occasion of first regional workshop dedicated to education environment in coastal areas in Flic-en Flac organized by our RECOS Project, that the COI was committed to revitalizing the UNESCO Sandwatch educational program dedicated to observation, monitoring and protection coastlines which has proven itself in the world. Since then, national action plans were developed in the Comoros, Madagascar, the Seychelles and, of course, Mauritius.
