Sandwatchers in New Zealand win enviro award  

As a Silver Award EnviroSchool Stanmore Bay was keen to start the new school year right. We invited our whole school community, including parents to take part in our annual GREEN DAY. Everyone worked hard to tidy up the school after our summer holiday break. Picking up rubbish, raking leaves and weeding were just a couple of activities that took place. Each class was responsible for an area, whether it was around their classrooms, gardens or the orchard.We have realised that living so close to the sea it is really important for us to take care of our environment. If not it can have an adverse impact on the ocean nearby. By Aleena and Dylan
